Artistic collaboration with Lyndie Dourthe for Valentine’s Day
Fascinated by the plastic arts since she was twelve, Lyndie produces textile sculptures, and installations, creates jewellery, experiments with photography.
In 2004 she began her first forays into the world of botany. Her first creations were called ??Naturalia??.
Very soon the inspiration for her first works widened to include all the diversity of natural science, birds, insects, animals, and new artistic techniques such as printing on textiles followed.
Her scientific investigation of more and more species continues.? An original way of looking at human anatomy, visiting it almost as a curiosity, but with a spiritual dimension, led her to play with our vanities, our attachment to ex-voto.? These new compositions make up her second artistic approach: the ??Mirabilia??.
Both in her personality or through her ?uvre, Lyndie is characterised by the curiosity which welcomes both the violent and the mellow in life, its splendour, its opacity, but above all, its fragile, fleeting beauty.
Lyndie?s profoundly humane vision of the natural world, and her unique apprehension of its wonder and beauty, captivated our interest, and so we made contact with her?again to create a joint entreprise, based on Love and Valentine’s Day theme.
